Multiplication Tables Check
The multiplication times table check is used to determine whether Year 4 pupils can fluently recall their multiplication tables. Conducted as an on-screen check, the test (which has no pass mark) consists of 25 times table questions.
In 2025 the average score for the cohort was 22.0 marks reflecting a strong performance (National: TBC out of 25). The most common score in the check was 25 (full marks), with 48.3% of pupils achieving this score (National: 41%).
In 2024 the average score for the cohort was 21.7 marks reflecting a strong performance (National: 20.7 out of 25). The most common score in the check was 25 (full marks), with 38% of pupils achieving this score (National: 34%).
